Dr. Daniela Porter
MD, FRCPC (Physiatry)
Dr. Daniela Porter is a Physiatrist who focuses on helping people improve their function and quality of life. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Western University (London, Ontario) in 2008. She completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Western and received her Fellowship (FRCPC) in 2015. That same year, she gained added specialization in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic. Dr. Porter worked at a community practice as a Physiatrist in Ontario before moving to Alberta in 2017.
Her clinical interests include musculoskeletal medicine, sport medicine, concussion and mild traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic and migraine headache management, spasticity management, interventional injections, and ultrasound-guided procedures. She believes in care that supports maximizing functional abilities and quality of life. What inspires her most is that every patient has a unique story — “It is an honour to help people navigate their health journey”. Fun fact: gardening stores are her happy place. She also loves a good pun — “You can’t plant flowers if you haven’t botany.”
